An Instructor Inspires His Students To Learn More About Symptoms Of Alcoholism, Signs Of Alcoholism, And Alcoholic Symptoms
Mr. Johnson was one of the health teachers at a medium size rural high school in the far Western part of the United States. For "Alcohol Alertness Month" he came to a decision that he would focus on the following three topics for a class project: the symptoms of alcoholism, the signs of alcoholism, and alcoholic symptoms.
After Mr. Johnson completed the topics that would be given to his pupils, he made a decision that he would supply them with their assignment the following Wednesday morning. When "assignment day" eventually arrived, Mr. Johnson met with the students in his class, distributed some applicable facts and statistics, and then notified the members of his class about the topics he ultimately selected.
He then gave the students in his class a synopsis of some noteworthy signs of alcoholism and highlighted how critical it is to become skilled at figuring out how to link these facts, symptoms, and statistics with the everyday circumstances of alcohol addicted people. He then gave the students in his classroom a brief articulation about the importance of learning more about alcohol dependent individuals and how they live on an everyday basis.
Mr. Johnson notified the students in his class that they could concentrate on one of the three topics or research all three topics and how they are interrelated. Fundamentally this would be not unlike a basic overview but done in a more comprehensive way.
Another alternative that he offered to the students in his class was the following: opt for a topic such as alcoholism symptoms and signs, investigate things more thoroughly, and then go over two or three symptoms and signs. Mr. Johnson then pointed out the fact that the same rationale applies to the other two topics, specifically, the symptoms of alcoholism and alcoholic symptoms.
The end result of their research project would be a four thousand word research paper and then a ten minute oral presentation that would be given in front of the class. As a reward for their superior intellectual accomplishment, the pupils with the top three overall grades on the research paper and on the oral presentation will be asked to present the findings from their research project at the district alcohol and drug abuse symposium during the last five days of February.
As articulated by Mr. Johnson, since there are more than a few alcohol dependency signs and symptoms to select, he pointed out the fact that he was not too alarmed about different students picking the same symptoms and signs for their class assignment. Certainly, even if more than one student was to choose identical signs and symptoms, the examples that are related to each symptom or sign would definitely add enough diversity to steer clear of different students presenting identical content.
Mr. Johnson then pointed out the fact that while there are many alcohol addiction signs and symptoms that could be selected, the quantity of alcohol dependency facts and statistics that could be listed were nearly without limit. When the topic of alcoholic symptoms was added to the discussion, furthermore, the students grasped somewhat rapidly that the three topics would offer a considerable amount of data from which to select.
Why did Mr. Johnson pick alcoholic symptoms, the signs of alcoholism, and the symptoms of alcoholism as the topics for this assignment? Mr. Johnson thought that by increasing the awareness of his students about the damaging effects of alcohol dependency and the grim daily routines suffered by alcohol addicted people, his students might think more sensibly before they involved themselves in abusive and unhealthy drinking behavior.
